| WINTER FUTSAL LEAGUE THE DATE'S ARE; JAN. 13TH, 20TH, 27TH, FEB. 3RD AND 10TH! Tri-State Soccer Academy Winter Futsal Session Announcing the first Futsal session slated for the following dates; January 13th, 20th, 27th, February 3rd and 10th. What is Futsal? Futsal is played in over 100 countries by more than 12 million players. Futsal is played on a basketball-size court, without the use of walls. Without the walls, futsal is a great skill developer, demanding quick reflexes, thinking, and pin-point passing. It is an exciting game for children as well as adults. Great soccer superstars such as Pele, Zico and Socrates grew up playing the game and credit Futsal with developing their skills. Futsal is played with a special low bounce ball requiring players to use their skills, rather than the ball’s bounce, to propel it Where: At Hershey Hall (Athletic building) on the Tri-State Campus. What time: It will be from 1-3pm. Each session will last for an hour. The 5-8 yr. olds will go from 1-2pm and the 9-13 yr. olds will go from 2-3pm. What will be taught? We will focus on ONE offensive, creative, move per week and then let the kids play the rest of the time. Why: We believe in showing and then letting the kids experience it in a game situation. This is to allow creativity, something that we don’t have with the players in the United States and we believe it is due to over coaching. Cost? It will be $45.00 for the five weeks. What does my child need? A ball, sneakers and shinguards and we will supply shirts and game ball (a futsal ball). Registration: All checks and release forms must be in by the December 15th deadline.
